This work is meant to explore the contradicting ideas found in everyday material. The color yellow often represents the idea of optimism, joy and happiness, while grey is a symbol of detachment, depression and indecisiveness.

 

Cinderblocks are the building block for many spaces that we inhabit and we often take for granted the strength of this object and how stable it has to be in order to support the weight of a building. The fact that it is suspended in the air takes away that stability and creates feelings of stillness, anxiety and indecisiveness.
