Design Concept
This console table is meant to embrace the symbolic nature of the japanese gate, the Torii. In japanese culture the gate a symbol of an entrance into a sacred place, similar to the function of a console table it gives the user a sacred platform in which all of their most prized possession are placed

The form derives from the basic shape of the Torii gate and embraces a narrow and linear geometry.
